WebMCP: Why Google’s New Browser Standard Could Change How AI Agents Use the Web

For the last two years, most “AI agents on the web” demos have looked impressive for one reason and fragile for another. They were impressive because an agent could open a site, inspect the page, click buttons, fill forms, and complete flows that were originally built for humans.
